Michigan Gov's office joins in scaremongering & misrepresentation over ballot on state-$s for new toll bridge
We addressed this question to Sara Wurfel spokesman for the Governor of Michigan Rick Synder:
Hi: I've picked up comments attributed to you to the effect that The People Should Decide measure could require a statewide vote to authorize mere local bridges.
MLive.com Sept 6 has this:
Michigan's populist Republican governor Rick Snyder regularly plays Detroit's favorite game of Bash the Bridge Company, for example calling it a "private monopoly" (the market is split three ways with the nearby Detroit Windsor Tunnel and the state's own Blue Water Bridge further north).
But the bridge company plays hardball too, as demonstrated with a variable message sign.
