Paul Mulshine, a columnist of the Newark Star-Ledger declared recently that all freedom loving people hate tolls. He claims that an anti-toll spirit is reflected in a 1975 trucker folk song by CW McCall called "Convoy" in which a trucker on the west coast decides to "put the hammer down" - accelerate away from the cops rather than pull over.

Veteran Newark Star-Ledger writer Paul Mulshine is mad as hell at fellow journo AB Stoddard of The Hill newspaper in Washington DC. Stoddard wrote in The Hill recently of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie that he still has "a remaining trace of a Turnpike accent."
Mulshine asks aggressively in his latest column: "What the heck is a Turnpike accent?" and goes on to this angry keypad rampage:
