Roy Norton, Canadian consul in Detroit says that the Canadian Government is not blocking the Ambassador Bridge company's proposed twin span. This is in in a letter in response to a column by Keith Crain, managing editor in Crain's Detroit news service (reproduced here in TOLLROADSnews a few days ago - see link below)

The government of Canada has initiated talks to purchase the Ambassador Bridge, the major trucking route between Canada and the US .
