Toll 49

North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority (NETRMA) are beginning procurement of a new stretch of their Toll 49 pike in the Tyler area. They call it Segment 3B. It is 15.6km, 9.7 miles in length and goes between I-20 and SH31.

NE Texas RMA, the toll authority in the Tyler area says it's now proceeding with Segment 5 of its Toll 49 road, previously known as Loop 49. This will extend the tollroad east another 4km (2.5 miles) from its present terminus at FM756 to TX110. The extension for which design work is complete is estimated to cost $20m.

North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority (NETRMA)'s board decided recently to exercise their authority to develop the Toll 49 (previously known as Loop-49 tollroad) further in Tyler. They are issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for a "financial partnership" with the private sector to develop the Loop tollroad more fully. A short stretch is already open.
