Tollers to repay $1.4m, waive $41m+ in S Cal to settle toll violation debt cases

Southern California tollers have agreed to repay about $1.4m and to waive $41m or
an estimated 29% of accumulated toll violation penalties owing for violations since early 2003. They have also agreed to make major revisions to their handling of future violations.

Transportation Corridors Agencies who run The Toll Roads in Orange County California celebrated the opening of a third lane each direction at the 241 or Foothill/Eastern Toll Road this week. For about 6km (4 miles) each direction third lanes have been added in the median of the far northern end of the 241 right up to the connector ramps of the interchange with the CA91 freeway.

Doherty is a 20 year veteran of the US Navy, but more recently spend ten years at Computer Sciences Corp where he rose to preisdent of the Americas Division.
The government business group of ACS where toll systems support is located has its major offices in Washington DC and the Maryland suburbs.

Eight congressmen representing communities most affected by the Foothill South Toll Road have written to the US Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez urging that he over-ride a veto being attempted by the state's Coastal Commission.
