2013-05-01: Miami Dade Expressway Authority (MDX) directors voted 9-3 this week (Apr 30) to reconsider a toll increase they'd approved March 19. The proposal is that toll points along the 836 Dolphin tollroad will collect 60c tolls rather than the 70c tolls approved in March. The 836 is MDX's most heavily trafficked, longest and most lucrative tollroad.

2013-04-15: The Toll Roads as they are branded in Orange County California are due to go cashless and all-electronic (AET) in the spring of 2014 according to announcement of contracts the boards of the Transportation Corridors Agencies have just approved with TransCore.
2013-03-20: The board of directors of Miami Dade Expressway Authority voted 10 to 3 this Tuesday confirming the seven year old plans to use a move to all-electronic toll collection (AET) to spread toll points over all major segments of their system - full tolling. Under cash collection and roll-through electronic tolling a majority of the links in their system were without tolls.
As many as 75% of trips went untolled.

Massachusetts DOT is committed to going all-electronic (AET) by the middle of 2016, but they'll take the Tobin Bridge cashless first as a demonstration to familiarize the public. Frank DePaola the state's highway administrator said this in an interview with TOLLROADSnews.
NTTA is removing the last remnants of cash toll collection on its six toll facility system in the Dallas area. The last cash tolls were collected over two years ago - in December 2010. Conversion to all-electronic tolling (AET) only involves opening up a regular section of highway through the toll plaza area and installing toll equipment over and within the roadway at the new AET toll point.

2012-10-18: America's biggest toller New York's MTA Bridges & Tunnels will do their first conversion to all electronic tolling (AET) Saturday November 10 at 11pm. That's at the Henry Hudson Bridge (HHB) a cars-only commuter parkway-connected crossing over the Harlem River at the very northern tip of Manhattan Island to the Spuyten Duyvil/Riverdale section of the Bronx and to Westchester County.
