Fitch see tollroads stable in 2012 but some downside risk


Fitch Ratings see the 2012 outlook for tollroads (TRs) as basically stable with a  few negative. Traffic on TRs rated by Fitch has not been as weak as national vehicle miles traveled - in slight decline since March 2011.  They say traffic volumes will remain "pressured" through 2012 due to the weak economy.

TOLLROADSnews will begin accepting ad placement for 2012 beginning Monday, December 5, 2011 on a first-come first-serve basis.

Several new spaces have been created and existing space has been redesigned to encourage more engagement on the site. We'll soon be launching a new set of advertising options and rates at TOLLROADSnews. This is aimed at generating a revenue stream needed to take us beyond the one-person operation that it has been since its start some 15 years ago (March 1996), when Peter produced a thousand copies of Toll Roads Newsletter #1 on the HP LaserJet 5SiMX printer now gathering dust in his office in the old part of Frederick MD. He produced 58 issues of the generally 32-page newsletter bimonthly, then monthly through February 2002.
