TransCore has won a big statewide systems integration and maintenance contract with the Texas Turnpike division of TxDOT. TransCore was selected over Raytheon and Telvent. The work was previously done largely by different companies, TransCore already being the largest - about 135 out of 155 lanes (CORRECTION).

New York's Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA) has dropped TransCore in favor of Telvent Caseta for a longstanding electronic toll (ET) system hardware maintenance contract. The board of directors of the MTA, the Triborough's parent state authority which also runs major rail and bus services in New York approved the contract award to Telvent Caseta at their meeting Thursday July 24.

Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) has selected PBS&J and HNTB to share work as general consultants under a five year contract worth $30m to $35m a year. PBS&J previously had an exclusive contract as general consultant, going back to 1988.

ACS, the Dallas TX based computer services conglomerate says it has been awarded a 10 to 13 year renewal of its contract at the E-ZPass New York Customer Service Center. The contract described as worth "more than $500m" was put up for rebid last year but potential competitors said the incumbent was in an overwhelmingly strong position to win.

The contract is for ten years with a three year extension.
