West Virginia's Department of Highways (WVDOH) publicizes the upgrade of US35
on the west side of Kanawha River to expressway standard as a project to enhance connections and improve safety of travel between two counties of Mason and Putnam - if you've heard of them. It's a heck lot more than that.
Eight-fold increase in WV E-ZPass sales
By Peter Samuel on September 4, 2009In the first month after the toll increase West Virginia Turnpike sold about 2500 E-ZPass transponders, an eight-fold increase on normal monthly sales of around 300. Turnpike manager Greg Barr told his board this at their monthly meeting this week. On August 1st cash and external E-ZPass toll rates went up around 60%.
