The President George Bush Turnpike eastern extension (PGBT-EX) main lanes opened today (Dec 21) connecting the PGBT in Garland at SH78 to I-30. The 9.9 mile 15km pike cost $958m and comprises part of an envisaged belt route around the Dallas metro area.
A 2x3 main lanes highway it has a one-mile long bridge over Dallas' Lake Hubbard. Groundbreaking took place in August 2008.

Maryland's new Inter County Connector (ICC) tollroad got off to a strong start today as the first 8.8 mile segment I-270 in Shady Grove to MD97 Georgia Avenue/MD28 opened. Barriers were removed at 1:15am Feb 23 westbound. The eastbound lanes opened about 3:20am.

Short of major winter storms disrupting finishing touches Maryland's state highway authorities will open the first segment of the Inter County Connector 6am Feb 22. Maryland Transportation Authority (MdTA) reported the planned opening as an announcement today by the Governor Martin O'Malley. This is the first all-electronic tollroad in the US northeast.

NTTA and TxDOT are opening the first segment of the State Highway 161 (SH161
or TX161) main toll lanes August 1. The new tollroad built by TxDOT will be operated by North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), the regional public toll authority in the Dallas Fort Worth metro area.
GSP's Driscoll Bridge NJ fully open May 20 - at 15 lanes widest in US

New Jersey Turnpike Authority says work was finished on the new Driscoll Bridge on the Garden State Parkway with all 15 lanes open from May 20 2009. The bridge at Milepost 126 just south of the interchange with the New Jersey Turnpike consists of two heavily rebuild and rehabilitated spans and a third new span side by side over the Raritan River in Perth Amboy, 42km (26 miles) southwest of Central Park in New York City.
Orlando toller completes FL414 Apopka pike - opening ceremony

John Land Apopka Expressway TOLL 414 (FL414) fully opened to traffic Friday afternoon, the seventh tollroad in the Olrando Florida metro area and the fifth of Orlando Orange County (Toll) Expressway Authority (OOCEA). A western portion of TOLL 414 opened to transponder-equipped E-PASS, SunPass traffic February 14 but now the whole tollroad is open at noon today (2009-05-15) including cash payers.

State Highway 45 Southeast tollroad (TR) opened today May 7, the fifth pike in the Austin Texas metro area. A 12km (7.5 mile) 4-lane expressway it provides improved east-west connectivity in the southern part of the Texas' capital area, as well as being the final leg, in combination with SH130 tollroad, of an eastern bypass or half-belt route on the eastside of the 1m pop metro area.

Pittsburgh PA. Called Phase 1 of the Uniontown to Brownsville segment it is 8.2 miles (13.2km) stretching between Uniontown and Redstone Township. Phase 1 is 2+2 expressway lanes, parallel with and just north of US40, along the route of the National Road, later the National Pike and in the early 20th century the Lincoln Highway.
NTTA to open another stretch of TX121 tollroad

NTTA gets another 15km (9 miles) of tollroad this Sunday Aug 31. The new pike to be called the "121 Tollway" will be
opened on SR121 between Old Denton Rd and Hillcrest Rd. Called Segment 2 it straddles Denton and Collin counties.
Segment 1m open for over a year, is 11km (7 miles) long.
