Tracy Marks is the new President of TransCore ITS taking over from John Simler. That puts Marks in direct charge of tolls and traffic management projects of the company. Chairman and CEO of Roper Industries (the holding company for TransCore) Brian Jellison is quoted as saying the handover of day to day management to Tracy Marks allows John Simler to "focus on strategic growth opportunities in the broad RF segment."

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett announced today he's stepping down as chair of the board of commissioners of the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA,) the bistate toll authority that runs four toll bridges over the Delaware River between Philadelphia and southern New Jersey.

Alan P Allegretto a former group president at Xerox/ACS Americas Commercial and State Government Transportation Group is now chief operating officer (COO) at Faneuil. His appointment by Faneuil President & CEO Anna Van Buren is announced in a statement today.

She is quoted: "Alan will be influential in driving the diversification and expansion of our corporate portfolio in the coming years."

2012-06-26: Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) executive director for 13 years Frank G McCartney is retiring to take a new position of Toll Industry Market Leader at Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Faneuil, the toll outsourcer based in Hampton Roads VA has a couple of new senior execs - Maggie Prehoda from GILA LLC is Faneuil's new VP Business Development, and John Breedlove previously operations director at Georgia Tolls (SRTA) is new Director of Electronic Toll Operations sat Faneuil. Both are mid-40s.

Marcel  Beaubien, a prominent local political figure in southwest Ontario has been appointed chairman of the board of directors of the Blue Water Bridge Canada, the Canadian government entity that owns and operates the Canadian portion of the Sarnia Ontario-Port Huron Michigan twin span bridges.

Bart Mueller executive director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) is leaving for what he says is a "great job" in the private sector outside of tolling and transportation - effective July 1. He says he has enjoyed nearly nine years at SJTA which operates the Atlantic City Expressway and Atlantic City Airport. The Authority is "in great shape," he says.

John Doan, an expert in toll managed lanes, variable pricing, and public outreach has been named Tolls Sector West Region Manager at Atkins. He joined Atkins after being program manager at MnPass, the Minnesota area toll express lanes implemented on I-394, the major highway west out of downtown Minneapolis, and on I-35W to the south.

Cofiroute USA has hired former San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) officer and  business analyst Chris Burke as their new VP Business Development. Burke, now 38, was heavily involved in SANDAG's I-15 toll managed lanes implementation and operations and in managing the regulatory regime for regional tolling policy in California's southernmost metro area.
