A bill is going through the legislature in Oklahoma to add a 20km, 12 mile Gilcrease Expressway western extension in Tulsa to the list of tollroads the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority is authorized to construct.
North Carolina Turnpike Authority select route for west Charlotte area tollroad

A route has been selected for a Gaston East-West Connector, a tollroad planned on the western edge of the greater Charlotte NC area. This is an important step toward completing environmental and planning clearances. The road is also known as Garden Parkway.
Texas 45 Southeast TR opens, completing tolled bypass of I-35 Austin

State Highway 45 Southeast tollroad (TR) opened today May 7, the fifth pike in the Austin Texas metro area. A 12km (7.5 mile) 4-lane expressway it provides improved east-west connectivity in the southern part of the Texas' capital area, as well as being the final leg, in combination with SH130 tollroad, of an eastern bypass or half-belt route on the eastside of the 1m pop metro area.
Road link & third US-MX border crossing to be toll financed in San Diego area

governments for an $800m project to build a third US-Mexico border crossing in the San Diego/Tijuana area. The new border crossing or 'port of entry' (POE) called East Otay Mesa is to be a bit over 3km (2 miles) east of the existing Otay Mesa crossing.
NTTA to break ground on PGBT Far East - 10 miles, $1 billion

Tolls steam ahead in North Carolina

North Carolina Turnpike Authority have received bids totaling $584m for design-build of the three-part Triangle Expressway project in the western part of Raleigh. That's well within preliminary cost estimates of around $645m. The Triangle Expressway work consists of:
- Triangle Parkway 5.5km (3.4 miles) a connector road to NC147 and I-40 West
