A colorful former officer of the Pennsylvania Turnpike George Hatalowich has been put on the payroll of Parsons Brinckerhoff in Camp Hill PA with the unusual title Director-Pennyslvania Strategic Operations. At the Turnpike Hatalowich, 46, was best known as a liaison with and fund raiser for politicians, and for drunken driving charges.

He was fired by the Turnpike March 15 this year after being asked to resign, and refusing.

Word is that to get ahead now at Parsons Brinckerhoff employees will have to shed their American accents. PB is being acquired by British engineering giant Balfour Beatty.

PB becomes BB, pronounced in clipped manner with a slight ring - as in BBC.

Wyoming is moving to toll I-80, the only interstate which spans the state from east to west. Parsons Brinckerhoff were recently asked by Wyoming DOT (WYDOT) to continue their engineering and toll studies.
