Pat Jones not the only one who confronted me in Atlanta
Lest I be thought to be making too much of Pat Jones' confrontations of your editor during my trip to Atlanta I 'fess up to another confrontation quite unrelated to IBTTA.
It was around 3am Monday morning at an Econolodge where I was staying near the Atlanta Airport.
A very deliberate rapping at the door woke me from a deep sleep.
I staggered to my feet, flung open the door, saying sleepily "Whadda-Ya-Want?"
It was a security guard, a big black uniformed guy.
"Sir, you curtain is open," he said.
"Yes," I said. "I like to wake with the sun, so sure, I leave my curtain open. What's the problem?"
Guard: "The problem, Sir, is that other guests walk past your window."
"Ok," I said, "And what's the problem with that?"
Guard: "Sir, you are naked."
I looked down at myself.
Unlike Pat Jones, he was right.
And I had to concede: a pretty sight, it was not, for any passers-by.
Curtain closed - editor.
