Delaware River toller has website for open road tolling on I-80 bridge

Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) recently launched a website to support the introduction of open road tolling on their I-80 Delaware River Water Gap Bridge.

The new webpage contains background information on the  project, an explanation of why the project is necessary, a summary of its traffic-congestion-mitigation benefits, and photographs including a rendering of what the reconfigured toll plaza will look like - nearby.

Open road toll lanes are due to open by end-May 2010. They are also working on a parallel project to have open road tolling on I-78, further south on the River.

Frank McCartney DRJTBC exec-director says they are increasingly using the internet to provide  timely and accessible information about new projects.
