Delaware River toller chooses top realtor Pulte as ops chief (PERSONNEL)


Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) commissioners have appointed Timothy Pulte, a former commercial real estate partner and president as their chief operating officer. DRPA which is jointly owned by the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross toll bridges, a rail transit line PATCO, Philadelphia Cruise Terminal and RiverLink Ferry.

His salary at DRPA will be $180k/year.

DRPA CEO John J. Matheussen is quoted: "We are pleased to have Mr Pulte on board. His addition to the Authority will help facilitate numerous projects currently in the planning stages."

Redecking of the Walt Whitman Bridge is one major project coming up for DRPA.

Pulte, 46, was president and managing partner of GVA Smith Mack, and prior to that held top positions at other real estate firms in the Philadelphia area including Pulte Homes that bears his name.  (CORRECTION of age 2009-09-28)
