Penn Pike resignation from IBTTA recognized very quietly - name dropped from list
Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission's resignation from IBTTA has been quietly
acknowledged by the trade association by removing its name from the official membership list. (see nearby)
However there has been no comment by IBTTA, and no other acknowledgement of the departure of one of the oldest and longest standing members of the established industry trade association.
It does not merit a mention in IBTTA's "Industry News," in its "News Roundup" or in "Member News" segments of the IBTTA website.
Penn Pike chief executive Joe Brimmmeier said IBTTA had favored the private sector over public toll authorities in a letter of resignation to IBTTA CEO Pat Jones, and complained that private sector concessionaires were not being charged their share of association dues.
He told us that he plans at some point to form an American Public Toll Roads Association to represent US public toll authorities.
We haven't heard of any further developments.
