Wall Street Journal screws up map of Ohio Turnpike (MEDIA)
The Wall Street Journal ran an interesting article Jan 30 on spin-off manufacturing technologies in what they called the Ohio Turnpike corridor titled " Car industry slump imperils role in spurring innovation."
And they showed the manufacturing plants mentioned in the article on a map of the Turnpike.
Only trouble is they confused I-80 with the Ohio Turnpike showing the Ohio Turnpike going north of Youngstown and continuing to Pennsylvania as I-80.
In fact the Ohio Turnpike changes interstate designation from I-80 to I-76 west of Youngstown. The Turnpike goes to the south of Youngstown and connects to the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76).
The eastern end of the Wall Street Journal map is tax-supported 'free' I-80, the same one the Pennsylvania legislature wants to toll within PA.
Small error because it is only the far eastern end, but we wouldn't want an unfortunate reader of the WSJ to think I-76 between PA and Youngstown OH was one of those tax-supported roads.
