Boston Mob is losing it - three Stupidos stung
The Boston Mob are really losing it. It's revealed in a US grand jury indictment announced today that they took a sting in which 'Mike' an FBI undercover officer posed in late 2006 as a "Massachusetts Highway Department inspector" who would take a cut on a contract for 300k yards of dirt for the Big Dig in return for steering the contract their way.
First inspectors don't do contracts. They inspect.
Second the Big Dig didn't buy fill. It had shiploads of the stuff to get rid of.
Third the Massachusetts Highway Department wasn't on the Big Dig project in 2006.
Since about 1999 Big Dig contracts have been conducted by the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.
The dummies indicted on this most improbable Big Dig sting are Carmen Dinunzio, Anthony D'Amore and Andrew Marino, supposedly major figures in the New England Family of La Cosa Nostra.
Denunzio is reported to be an 'Underboss.' Under was this guy's proper place.
From Sept 22 2006 the feds have video of Dummy Denuncio handing over $10k of Mob cash to Mike playing Highway Department inspector as downpayment on Mike's cut! Three days later the LCN Three provided the FBI man with samples of the "loam" they proposed to sell to the Highway Department as part of the contract they thought they were fixing with the bribe.
The Department of Justice instructs us in a press release that the indicted LCN Three are presumed innocent of conspiracy to bribe until tried and found guilty. However they are already convicted of Grande Stupidita e Credulita Enorme. If they've forgotten their Italian that's Grand Stupidity and Boundless Credulity - according to an online translator.
What a bunch of Stupidos - dummies.
