No interest in Clinton signs

When the Arkansas highway dept announced that it would take down the 100 highway signs posted at the state’s borders touting Bill Clinton as a native son, the dept said it would make them available to museums and others to preserve as “historical artifacts.”

No interest. Said a spokesman: “They’re not our hottest item. We thought a lot of people would want them, if only for target practice.”

The Clinton signs will be repainted with the message: “Buckle Up for Safety.” Is that a sly play on Bill having UNbuckled too often?
