Also ceased being a publicly traded company is Able Telecom the long struggling corporate shell over Adesta/MFS the toll system integrator with major electronic toll jobs in New Jersey/Delaware, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Able was finally delisted mid-Oct by the NASDAQ stock exchange for failure to file proper financial reports. Adesta/MFS its ET subsidiary has been unable to seek new work after having been rejected by the Golden Gate Bridge as unfit to tender two years ago. Kept afloat to the tune of tens of millions by WorldCom it has continued with great difficulty working on its large toll projects.

Good news for the employees and customers of Adesta/MFS who have survived a crooked and bungled spinoff from WorldCom followed by a long travail of abuse at the hands of lying corporate looters from southern Florida: rescue seems near. Canadians seem to be stepping in with a realistic salvage plan. Bracknell, a specialist in indoor office building networks wants the outdoor fiber optic capabilities of the group. Most likely Adesta/MFS will be absorbed by Sirit which is a major shareholder thanks to successful litigation against Able. Also in the new are James and Adam Tuton whose American Traffic Systems (ATS), the violations systems company terminated by Adesta/MFS, apparently as a scapegoat, on the New Jersey/DE project. The mutually agreed arbitrator, former US attorney-general Nicholas Katzenbach has awarded the Tutons $5m in unpaid bills and damages against Adesta/MFS. That award was separated out from the sale of ATS to TransCore which also unfolded during last summer. Those involved say a condition for their success was meticulous documentation.

Sometimes US law does work! The bad guys get punished and the good guys get recompense.
