Several toll authorities say that traffic growth is slowing probably the product of high fuel prices and a slower economy. Intercity traffic seems more affected than commuting. The Oklahoma Turnpike, for example, reports that its newer urban pikes continue to register strong growth, but the older intercity routes are seeing traffic languish.
