Bull out in Switzerland

A ‘sustainable transport’ initiative went down to well-deserved and decisive defeat in a popular ballot in Switzerland recently. The measure which would have required the Swiss national government to devise policies to reduce automobile use by 50% over 10 years garnered only 21% of the vote.
