The caption (below) from ITS WORLD mag is a real beauty, mites. The picture above it shows a toll plaza under construction on the Eastern Distributor toll road in Sydney, Australia. But guys that ain’t part of Melbourne’s CityLink. Now just like there is a Chicago and there is a Detroit upover here, ya know, downunna there is a Melbourne and there is a Sydney. Melbourne is approx 440mi, or 700 clicks as the locals say it, away from Sydney and there’s about 100 million sheep, the odd roo, and lotsa rattly wooden bridges in between the two of ‘em. Very different cities. One has a buy, the other an ‘arbor. One’s full of Itays, thother of dark Kiwis. One plays a splendid high-flying native football on a large oval field with 8 goal posts, the other a scrummagey dirty headsdown feelemups Brit game on a small rectangular field with H-shape goals.

As for tolling, Sydney has a few hundred of the regular old Illinois/Goidenstate tollway variety, but Melbourne CityLink has no toll plazas at all (and in Sydney they’ll tell you it has been sold a gee-whiz pig in a poke by Swedish smoothies bearing blonde bimbos and won’t ever even collect a toll) so don’t use a toll plaza for illustration because CityLink is working, and working, and working on highway-speed open-road ET plus imaging – as the text of your article said.
