The Dulles Greenway October 8 opened a new diamond interchange (Exit 7) at Loudoun County Parkway (VA-607), providing access to large new office complexes housing the headquarters staffs of leading internet service provider America On Line and second US longdistance telephone company MCI-Worldcom. The IC is 5km (3mi) further out from Washington DC from the mainline barrier plaza of the toll road, which is located in the far northern fringe of the Washington-Dulles International Airport property. Like the Gwy’s other ramp plazas these will cater to the Virginia Smart Tag electronic toll transponders charging those users $1.10. Others will have to self-swipe their credit cards, as on gasoline pumps and they’ll be hit for $1.40.
