MD’s Champion Snowplowers

Maryland Transp Auth employees took the top awards in this year’s annual interagency snowplow competition, outscoring 12 drivers from other northeastern agencies. The competition held in NJ tested the drivers vehicle maneuvering skills and plowing prowess in a coned-off obstacle course that simulated a curving alley, a cul de sac and a loading dock. Winners were Lois Lawton and Ken Kiel, both MDTA maintenance technicians.
