The longtime head of the Fed Hwys Congestion/Value Pricing Program John Berg is taking early retirement from FHWA. He’s planning to work from home. In a posting on the FHWA-supported email ‘list serve’ group that discusses variable pricing issues (LISTSERV@TC.UMN.EDU, www.hhh.umn.edu/centers/slp) he urged people to “keep pressure on government agencies to incorporate value pricing alternatives into their investment planning processes.” He said: “We’ve made some progress in some locations, but there is clearly a long way to go before that dream becomes a reality.” A replacement will be named within a month or so. He signed himself: John “Pricing the Bridge to the 21st Century” Berg.
