Able/MFS managed to satisfy the NJ consortium for ETC that it has the troublesome violations processing system operational. July 23 the Secaucus center was officially opened and it is now processing violations on the Atlantic City Exwy and in Delaware. The $25k/day penalties imposed late December against MFS have been suspended, said Ed Gross, NJ Turnpike chief, who also heads the NJ consortium. Able/MFS had a major turnover of top people. It also succeeded in getting ETC on the Richmond Metropolitan Auths Downtown Expressway and Powhite Parkway operating on time and satisfactorily July 1, but there is no news of progress from the Bay area, where a working system is years overdue.
